The round up for 26 May to 1 June 2013.
There are no beatifications scheduled for this week.
Sunday 26 May, Monday 27 May, Tuesday 28 May, Wednesday 29 May and Thursday 30 May, I have nothing.
Friday 31 May, the repose in 1915 in Ephesus of the Servant of God Marie de Mandat-Grancey. A French nun with the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul, she is best known for finding the house where the Blessed Virgin lived, basing her work on the work of Bl Catherine Emmerich. Her connection to America is rather indirect; as the Church in Turkey lacks resources, the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph is heading up the cause. This cause was opened in 2011 and is still in its early days.
Saturday 1 June, in 1706 in Detroit, the memory of the repose of Constantin Delhalle. A Recollet priest, he served the first parish in Detroit. He died there, killed by Ottawas. He seems to have been caught up in the crossfire of one of the intermittent wars in the area, and I am not aware of a cause for his canonization.
All the saints, orate pro nobis.
All the martyrs, orate pro nobis.
