Monday 7 July, in 1948, the repose of Rhoda Wise. A stigmatist and visionary, she is probably best known for her role in the healing of Mother Angelica. I am not aware of a cause for her canonization.

Wednesday 9 July, in 1897 in Chicago, the repose of the Servant of God Augustine Tolton. The first American priest publicly known to be Black, he was born into a family of slaves in Missouri. As an adult, he would be associated with the “national parishes” for African-Americans. The cause for his canonization has only been open for a couple of years.
Also 9 July, in 1926 in New York, the repose of the Servant of God Mary Alphonsa. Daughter of Nathanial Hawthorne, mother, widow and convert, she founded the Dominican Sisters of Providence to serve especially among the terminally ill. The cause for her canonization was formally opened in 2003.
Also 9 July, of interest to the Breton, the feast of the Martyrs of China. Among them are two Breton sisters with the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, Ss Marie of Saint Natalie and Marie of Saint Just. Martyred in 1900, these two are also among the protomartyrs of that order. They were canonized in 2000.
Also 9 July, of particular interest in Brazil, the feast of S Amabile Visintainer, in religion Pauline of the Agonizing Heart of Jesus.

Saturday 12 July, in Kenya in 1989, the killing of Agnes Reinkemeyer. A religious from Missouri with the Franciscan Sisters of Mary who was serving in her capacity as a nurse in Kenya, she was killed while in prayer in the mission chapel during a robbery. I am not aware of a cause for her canonization.
