Sunday 17 August, of interest in Canada, the repose of the Venerable Servant of God Marie-Elisabeth Turgeon.

Monday 18 August, in Indiana in 1905, the repose of the Servant of God Mary Magdalen of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  Born Anna Bentivoglio in Rome, she was a religious with the Poor Clares and a missionary in nineteenth century America.  She and her biological sister brought the Saint Clares to America, though much struggle due primarily to difficulty finding a Bishop to accept them into his diocese.  Her cause has been open for many decades but does not seem to have made much movement since Vatican II.

Also 18 August, of particular interest in Chile, the feast of S Alberto Hurtado Cruchega.

Tuesday 19 August, of particular interest in Bolivia, the repose of the Venerable Servant of God Martin Bernedo Albistur.

Also 19 August, of particular interest in Colombia and the Dominican Republic, the feast of S Ezequiel Moreno y Diaz.

Wednesday 20 August, in 1980 in Italy, the repose of the Venerable Servant of God Celestina Bottego.  Born in Ohio, she was a religious and founded the Xaverian Missionary Sisters of Mary.  She lived most of her life in Italy.  She was declared Venerable last October.

Thursday 21 August, I have nothing.

Friday 22 August, in 1938 in Boalsburg, the repose of Theodore Boal.  A convert and military man, he also built a shrine and helped build a church here in Centre County.  There is no cause for his canonization.

Saturday 23 August, in Maine in 1724, the repose of Sebastian Rale.  A Jesuit priest, he was serving among the natives during one of the French and British border wars and was killed during an attack on the village where he lived.  He is sometimes called the protomartyr of Maine.  I ma not aware of a cause for his canonization.

Also 23 August, in 2000 in Kenya, the repose of Anthony Kaiser.  A Mill Hill priest from Minnesota, he was killed during an armed robbery attack on the mission and school where he lived.  I am not aware of a cause for his canonization.

Also 23 August, in 1980 in El Salvador, the repose of Carol Piette.  A Maryknoll sister from Wisconsin and friend of the Maryknoll sisters martyred in El Salvador, she died in a drowning accident while working in the missions in Central America.  I am not aware of a cause for her canonization.

Also 23 August, of particular interest in Peru, the feast of S Rome of Lima.
