Sunday 12 October will see the beatification of Francesco Zirano.  A Franciscan priest from Sardinia, he was martyred in Algeria in the seventeenth century.

Sunday 12 October, in 1812 in Santa Cruz, the death of Andres Quintana.  A Franciscan priest, he was tortured and killed by some of the Native Americans with whom he worked, though their crime was not known for about two years.  I am not aware of a cause for his canonization.

Also 12 October, the repose in Washington, D.C., in 1864, of Roger Brooke Taney.  Born in Maryland, he was the first Catholic Supreme Court justice, appointed fifth Chief Justice in 1836.  I am not aware of a cause for his canonization.

Also 12 October, of interest in Brazil, the feast of Mary, Our Lady of Aparecida.

Also 12 October, of interest in Argentina, the feast of Mary, Our Lady of the Pillar.

Tuesday 14 October, of interest to the Breton, the repose of the Venerable Servant of God Marie-Amelie Fristel.  A Breton nun particularly devoted to education, the poor, and the elderly, she founded an order as well.  She was declared Venerable in 1976.

Wednesday 15 October, in Missouri in 1820, the repose of the Servant of God Felix de Andreis.  A priest with the Congregation of the Mission, he was the first superior of the Lazarists in this country.  He was renowned for his personal holiness and for the remarkable work fit into his short life.  His cause was opened in 1900 and sent to Rome in 1902, though it seems to have been long inactive.  I understand his diocese is currently editing his writings.

Thursday 16 October, of interest in Canada, the feast of S Marie-Marguerite d’Youville.

Friday 17 October, in 2013 in Tijuana, the repose of Antonia Brenner.  Called “the Prison Angel,” she founded the Eudist Servants of the Eleventh Hour, ministering primarily to prisoners.  I am not aware of a movement toward a call for her canonization.
